To add credential holders

Note:

You can now add cards through Access Permissions tab available under Card details.

Click Add_icon.png in Access Permissions to add a new card.

1. In the home page, select the desired site or customer. From the left pane, click People_icon.png. The People page, along with the list of people associated with the selected customer appears.
OR
In the customer home page, under YOUR QUICK LINKS, click Add_Credential_icon.png Add Credential. The People page appears.

2. Click Add_icon.pngand then select Add People.
The Add People screen appears in the right pane.

Note:

If you are adding a user for the first time, click ADD PEOPLE.

 

3. Click the image layout to browse and upload the card holder's picture.

4. In the right pane, under Profile,

 Type the Last Name of the user, this is a mandatory field.

 Type the First Name of the user, this is a mandatory field.

 Type the Display Name of the user

 Type the Email of the user

Note:

One valid Email address per user.

 

 Select User Status

 Active

          OR

 Inactive

5. Under the Additional Information (It is an alphanumeric field and you can enter less than 32 characters),

 Select User Type

 Type User ID

 Type Employee Phone number

 Type Label One

 Type Label Two

 Type Notes

6. Under Permissions,

 From the drop-down list, you can select any of the following:

 Existing Card Number

 Learn Card

Selecting Learn Card feature enables you to assign a card instantly (through AMS or DCM), without knowing the card number in advance.

a. Under Card Number, click Learn Card. The Learn Card dialog box appears.

b. Ensure to Select the site you are at if you have access to multiple sites.

c. Under Device Type, select an AMS or DCM. For example, select the device type as Arming Station.

d. Under Select the Arming Station to learn card, you must select the desired AMS and then click NEXT.

The initiating device message appears.

e. If the device fails to initiate the learn card process, you can:

* Click Retry to try again, after checking the fail conditions.

* Click BACK to choose another device.

Note:

The learn card process can fail due to area which has the AMS/DCM is armed/has an active alarm, controller in offline mode, communication failure with AMS/DCM, and AMS/DCM under keypad lockout state.

f. Once the learn card process is successful, the Swipe one card only message appears. You can now swipe the card on the selected device.

Note:

•  If multiple cards are swiped, only the last swiped card will be considered.

•  Before saving the learnt card, you can replace with another card using the re-learn option.

 

 Create New Card

 When you select an existing card number, type the card number or PIN of the card, if applicable.

Note:

•  Ensure to use a unique PIN and avoid using the default user’s PIN available in the MPI panel.

•  If you set the PIN length to 4 digit, the supported range is between 1000 to 9999.

•  If you set the PIN length to 5 digit, the supported range is between 10000 to 99999.

•   If you set the PIN length to 6 digit, the supported range is between 100000 to 999999.

CAUTION:

The default PIN length is 6 digits. However, you can set the PIN length between 4 and 6 digits. 6 digit PIN codes must be used for EN 50131-1 compliant installations and that failure to do so will render the system non-compliant.

 

 From the Permission Group drop-down list, associate the selected cards to the relevant permission group.

 From the Intrusion Authority drop-down list, select to define the level. Based on the authority level defined, the relevant actions can be performed.

 To specify the Activation Date, click Insert Calender to select the activation date.

 To specify the Expiry Date, click Insert Calender to select the expiry date.

 Select to set the card Status

 Active

          OR

 Inactive

 Area Choice for Arm/Disarm: By default, Area Choice for Arm/Disarm is disabled for GALAXY and enabled for MPI.

• If the Area choice is enabled for Arm/Disarm for GALAXY controller under Permission tab of People screen, then in Keypad; you can choose the area and then Arm or Disarm as required.

• If the Area choice is disabled for Arm/Disarm for GALAXY controller under Permission tab of People screen, then in Keypad; you can Arm or Disarm associated areas in a single click.

• If the Area choice is disabled for Arm/Disarm for MPI controller under Permission tab of People screen, then in AMS; click Arm button to Arm all areas in a single click.

• If the Area choice is enabled for Arm/Disarm for MPI controller under Permission tab of People screen, then in AMS; click Arm/Disarm button to view arming options such as Arm by Area, Arm All Areas and Arm this Area.

7. From the Intrusion Authority drop-down list, select to define the level. Based on the authority level defined, the relevant actions can be performed.

The permissions for the Installer as described in the table below, are only available if the customer’s Administrator authorizes them by setting the dealer privileges in MAXPRO Cloud. For example, the Administrator can allow or deny installers from arming and/or disarming areas.

While adding Installer and Duress users, Card field will automatically get disabled as these users are entitled with only PIN.

 To specify the Activation Date, enter the activation date range of the card. You can click to find the dates.

 To specify the Expiry Date, enter the expiry date range of the card. You can click to find the dates.

 Select to set the card Status

 Active

 Area Choice for Arm/Disarm: This option enables you to perform Arming actions such as Arm this Area, Arm by Area and Arm All Areas.

Note:

•  By default, Area Choice for Arm/Disarm is enabled.

•  If you disable Area Choice for Arm/Disarm under Permission > Status, then you can Arm all the areas grouped under Permission Group at once.

CAUTION:

Using Simple Arm/Disarm feature by disabling Area Choice will render the system non-compliant to EN 50131-1.

8. Click SAVE.

 

To import cards

This feature allows you to download the card holder template (in CSV format), enter the people and people data, and then upload the CSV file.

Note:

This is only supported for NetAXS and MPA2.

 

To download the template:

1. In the home page, select the desired site or customer. From the left pane, click People_icon00016.png. The People page appears.

2. In the left pane, the list of people associated with the selected customer appears.

3. Click Add_icon00017.png and then select Import Card Holders.
The Import card holder details screen appears.

4. Click to Download Card Holder Template.
A CSV file, containing the fields to enter people data, is downloaded.

To upload the template with data:

The Excel file should be formatted with the fields below:

Enter the card number

Enter the details if the card is trace enabled

Enter the type of the card as Employee, Supervisor, or VIP

Enter number of uses from 1 to 255. If unlimited, leave blank. Must be blank if card type is VIP

Enter the card expiration details

If it never expires, leave blank. Otherwise, enter the expiration date. Format = mm/dd/yyyy

Access Groups*

Enter the card access group information

Leave blank, or enter any number between 1 and 10000. MPC will then prompt to select an permission group. An integer number can be set for group of people with same Permission group.

Enter the user’s PIN details available for the card

Label Name 1   

Enter any additional information about the card holder

Activation Date   *

Enter the card activation details

Enter the activation date. It should be at least the current day. Format = mm/dd/yyyy

Enter the card holder display name

Enter the status (active, inactive, lost or trace) of the card holder

 Active: Sends an event message to the alarm monitor whenever a card with active enabled is presented at a reader.

 Inactive: Sends an alarm message to the alarm monitor whenever a card with inactive enabled is presented at a reader.

 Lost: Sends an alarm message to the alarm monitor whenever a card with lost enabled is presented at a reader.

 Trace: Sends an alarm message to the alarm monitor whenever a card with trace enabled is presented at a reader. This feature provides a trace of the card holder’s path through the facility.

User Type*

Enter the user type details (Contract Employee, Maintenance, Manager, Owner, Property Manager, Regular Employee, Supervisor, Tenant, and Visitor (Temporary))

User ID

Enter the unique user ID

Notes   

Enter the associated notes for this card holder

Phone

Enter the contact number of the card holder

Note:

While you upload the CSV file, ensure that the file contains no more than maximum of 1500 records and file size should not be greater than 3 MB.

2. In the left pane, the list of people associated with the selected customer appears.

3. Click Add_icon00020.png and then select Import Card Holders.
The Import card holder details screen appears.

4. Click Browse.PNG to browse the .CSV file and then click Open.

If Card numbers are duplicate in the .CSV file, then an error message Duplicate Card numbers appears.

 

To upload the template with data:

If Card numbers are duplicate in the .CSV file, then an error message Duplicate Card numbers appears.

 

To edit credential holders

1. In the home page, select the desired site or customer. From the left pane, click People_icon00023.png. The People page appears.

2. In the left pane, the list of people associated with the selected customer appears.

3. Select the User that you want to modify.

Tip: You can search for a user by typing their card number/name in the search field. Minimum of 3 characters need to enter for search.

4. Click edit.PNG.

5. Modify the desired details.

6. Click SAVE.

 

To delete credential holders

1. In the home page, select the desired site or customer. From the left pane, click People_icon00024.png. The People page appears.

2. In the left pane, the list of people associated with the selected customer appears.

3. Select check box next to card holder name to delete.

Tip: You can search for an user by typing their card number/name in the search field.

4. Click Delete_icon.jpg.
A confirmation message appears.

5. Based on the permission levels, you can also select the following before you proceed:

 Delete Credential Holder only

OR

 Delete Credential Holder and Cards

Note:

•  If you have assigned card, then, you will have permission to delete users and the associated cards.

•  You can select multiple credential holders (up to 30) and delete in a single instance.

 

 

To assign mobile credentials

This option enables the customer to unassign a mobile credential.

1. In the home page, select the desired site or customer. From the left pane, click People_icon00034.png. The People page appears.

2. In the left pane, the list of people associated with the selected customer appears in the middle pane.

3. Select the User to whom you desire to unassign a mobile credential.

4. In the right pane, under Permissions, click  edit00035.PNG to Edit credential.

5. The assigned mobile credential is visible under Permissions tab as Active. Click Delete_credential.png  and then click SAVE to unassign and delete the credential.

Note:

The deleted credentials (card) is removed and the license is freed up again and available under Unassigned Cards.
